I am a licensed teacher with over 5 years of experience. I graduated top of my class in Miami, majoring in Early Childhood Education. While I was in college, I was also working with kids either at schools or giving private lessons at home. I then moved to Spain, to pursue Early Childhood Education specializing in teaching English as a foreign language.
During my time in Spain I worked in several academies, teaching ages from 3 years old up to adults. In the meantime, I also did 2 semesters of internships in public schools to keep growing professionally.
I am very passionate about what I do, and always try to find new ways to make things easier for my students. I am very creative, so I love to use didactic material that will keep my students engaged and feeling eager to learn more.
Since I have gone to college in both countries, I have learned how to approach the English language from two different perspectives; as a foreign language and as a native tongue.
In the United States, I learned the process of writing, and how to teach it. As well as literature and grammar. In Spain, I learned several different methodologies on how to teach phonics to students who are learning English as foreign language, as well as how to apply the knowledge I gained in America in the classroom.
I currently would love to work from home, and have been looking forward to this experience.
