IOS Partners is a consulting company in international development, working for multilateral and bilateral donors (WB, IADB, AfDB, ADB, EuropeAid, USAID, EBRD, UN agencies) and governmental agencies. Provides policy support and technical assistance in core practice areas, which include: public governance and public sector reform, rural development, agriculture and agribusiness, investment promotion, private sector development, institutional strengthening, trade facilitation, social policy and insurance, ICT, aviation & maritime, monitoring & evaluation.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Identification of new business and strategic opportunities, with special focus on social policy projects, public sector reform, institutional strengthening, agriculture and insurance, e-government and ICT4D, trade facilitation and regional integration and monitoring and evaluation, specially related to food security projects.
Leading the preparation of technical and financial proposals: drafting technical methodologies for project implementation; carrying out the outreach and recruitment of international and local consultants and development partners; coordinate teams and technical inputs; develop realistic work plans and prepare implementation budgets.
Identifying private sector partners and capitalizing technical expertise synergies with them to achieve the goals of a given project, conducting negotiations with partner companies or subcontractors and with external consultants, preparing partnerships;
Developing and drafting technical methodologies for the implementation of technical assistance projects in a number of sectors, aiming to achieve project objectives in line with the best approaches and cutting-edge development thinking and practice;
Project support and coordination and management activities for technical assistance projects; manage relationship with clients and consultants; coordinating team members; collecting technical input from consultants and drafting project reports; analyze data and conduct research; coordinate missions and preparation of meetings between clients, consultants and stakeholders;
Training new interns.
Recently, help in the implementation of a management tool, leading the implementation of the tool in my department with my direct supervisor; and conducting research, preparing notes and briefing for the restructuring of the work of the company post-COVID and monitoring trends in donor funding, policies and priorities.
